"READ TO ME " We are initiating a "READ TO ME " program for the third year. This is a program that has volunteer citizens and school employees involved in a student reading to an adult and the adult reading to the student. I personally agree to work with two of our students. Please we need you and your support and belief in our youth. Contact Kim McLaughlin ( 685-3886 ). These individuals represent a belief that you and I count as adults in the influence of a child's reading achievement. Please consider your capacity to make a difference and volunteer one hour a week.. ZERO TOLERANCE for CHILDREN - Parents need to be aware that any demonstration of violence, one child hurting another, will be cause for immediate suspension. In order to have a safe school for all children, we maintain these standards. I have found all parents very supportive of this standard. Please recognize that sometimes we need a day or two to deal with the root cause for children fighting. As adults, we need to understand that children are over disputes in a shorter period of time than adults are.
